Western roots.
A continuing story.

Midwest’s history began near Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1974.

The business started in facility construction and grew into pipeline work, later moving to the Edmonton region. Through changes in ownership and identity, the Midwest story remained closely connected to Western Canada’s energy industry.

Today, Midwest Pipelines carries that tradition forward through experienced people, disciplined execution, and relationships built on trust.

    The beginning

    Midwest is established near Regina, beginning in facility construction before expanding into pipelines.

  2. 2007

    A new chapter

    The company is acquired and rebranded following a sale.

  3. 2012

    The Midwest name returns

    In April, the Midwest name is reintroduced under new ownership and leadership.

MIDWEST believes that all occupational injury, illness, and property damage is preventable and through proactive management of risk and at-risk behavior, injury and loss can be eliminated from our organization.

MIDWEST is committed to providing its employees, owners, customers, and the community with a safe, value added and productive service.

Safety is a responsibility shared between owners, management, employees, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and various regulatory agencies, and all employees of MIDWEST will be held accountable for occupational health and safety.

MIDWEST will ensure that all employees are knowledgeable regarding the relevant content of the MIDWEST Safety Management System and will communicate that message to all co-workers, sub-contractors, and customers.

MIDWEST will ensure employees have the necessary support, training, equipment, technology, and procedures that will enable them to proactively manage the hazards they face in the workplace.
